January Summary

In January, I got my first paycheck form WhimsyWorks, Inc. 🎇 And since then, my boss has already doubled my salary 😛

Even though WhimsyWorks has been generating revenue for a while now, this is my first paycheck because of a large loan the company had to take out to pay severance to my old co-founder.

Here are the revenue numbers for last month (January 2024):

Total revenue across products: $8,163.14

Pico

• Net volume from sales: $4,547.21 (+2.8%)

• MRR: $4,259.50 (-9.1%)

Screenshot to Code

• Net volume from sales: $3,615.93

• MRR: $2,220

I switched Screenshot to Code to monthly recurring plans from one-time credit purchases to target more consistent income.

Screenshot to Code has generated far more revenue, buzz and usage than I could have anticipated. Unfortunately, the trade-off is that I’m spending less time on Pico.

The product has generated $13K+ in gross revenue, has $3k in MRR, 35k+ stars on Github, 70k+ emails on the mailing list. There are lots of growth opportunities for someone willing to spend time on it.
