Going to start writing monthly summaries, and sharing how things are going with Pico publicly.
In early June, I decided to split with my co-founder. Because we were 50/50 partners, the following negotiation on what to do with our company was fraught with stalemates. Frustratingly, there were weeks where I did not work on Pico in June and July. But we finally signed a buyout deal a few weeks ago so now, I’m the 100% shareholder of Pico 🍾
Here are the July stats:
MRR: $5591 (-11.5%)
New subscribers: 48 (+17.1%)
Visitors: 14.3K (+3%)
Churn continues to be high but I fully expect that. Given that all of our growth so far has been viral thanks to the AI hype cycle, a lot of users don’t have a real need for the product and just want to play around with it. My focus going forward isn’t to reduce churn.
The focus for August:
Make Pico more powerful - allow users to build more powerful and fully functional apps with Pico
Grow revenue - increase total traffic to the website
Glad to hear that you have 100% control now and that Pico's going to continue to develop!
